Caleb James Kays
Caleb was born on May 30. He weighed 8 pounds 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He was a big boy but then again his sister was a big girl. I just love my Grandbabies. Being a Grandmother is great fun.

Caterina is getting so big. She is almost ready to start walking. Her Mommy put her hair in pigtails for the first time on the day these pictures were taken. I just love being a Grandma. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of her brother Caleb.
We had our second Church in the Sanctuary on Jan. 31. I think it turned out pretty good. We were all real nervous about it again. Maybe after we have done it a few more times we won't be so scared.
My daughter Nicole has been doing really well selling her crochet stuff at the Farmer's Market. She recently has posted her stuff on Facebook and My Space and sold some stuff on there too. If you are interested in anything let me know. This is just a small sample of what she has. She does fingerless gloves, blanket beanies, purses, skirts. just about anything.

What kind of person are you?
Are you the kind of person that searches out truth at all costs or are you a person who searches out truth only to the extent that it won't hurt you or your family? Does something become gossip when we get up and say something about someone not knowing the full truth. I believe it does. When someone gets up and openly blasts someone and they have only a little snippet of the truth they are then spreading lies and half truths and tearing down someones character on hear say. Where did Christianity go? That is what I would like to know. Somehow I don't think that the Lord would be pleased with us deliberately blasting a child of God and trying our best to get that person to backslide. When we are given a position of authority and we use that position to hurt and damage people we have swayed from the purpose of that position. God please help me to never be like that. And thank you for giving my family the peace and assurance that You are in control and have us safely in your hands despite the best efforts of those who try to remove us!

Catch up ( once again)
Here are some pictures of some of the events of the last few months. They include David graduating high school, Dave graduating with his BS, Miss Caterina, Jill's Wedding, David's Eagle Scout Court of Honor and misc. That is if my photos are on here. I had another hard drive bite the dust but fortunately was able to save my pics to a flash drive first.

Happy 18th birthday David
Well my baby turned 18 on Wed. Feb. 4th. So hard to believe that they are all adults now. Wow!
Four more months and he will graduate from High School. I will post a few pictures as soon as I get them from Dave.

Great Reciipe
I received this in a email thought it was great. I will try to practice some of it !
A Great Recipe for a peace-filled life in 2009
1. Take a 10 to 30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It
is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about
what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement,
'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for______________'
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that
is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild
Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues
of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead
invest your energy in the positive present moment.
8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a
college kid with a maxed out charge card.
9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument.
Agree to disagree.
13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years,
will this matter?'
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends
will. Stay in touch.
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:
I am thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings.
You'll be smiling before you know it.

CHRISTMAS
Well I managed to get it all done. I decorated the house on the 24th so I can enjoy it for a little while anyway. We spent Christmas Eve with my sister Janell at her house. Then Christmas morning Jill, James and Janell came over to the house to open gifts and have breakfast. It was nice. In the afternoon we went to Pat and Terri's house for dinner then back to Janell's to play dominoes with Janell, Jill and James. It was a nice relaxing day. It snowed on our way to Janell's house Christmas evening. The first time it snowed here on Christmas that I can remember.
Hope everyone's Christmas was as nice as ours.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

CATCH UP
Well a lot has happened since I last posted.
Nicole turned twenty on Dec. 3 I don't have pictures on my camera but if I can get my great husband to down load his pictures and send me one I can post on here.HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLE AND JANELL!

David was the lead in his High School play Lil' Abner he did a great job. How fun for his senior year!

Bekki, Janell, Terri, Mary, Lisa, Irina and I went to a Taste of Home cooking demo at the fair grounds. It was alot of fun and Bekki has been experimenting with cooking. She is trying to make us all fatter then we already are!
Sorry the picture is sideways. I have a new Mac computer and am having a little trouble learning it. Not so good a photo of me but all we have.

David and Dave were in a car accident on Phelan Road back on Veteran's day. They and two of David's friends from church were on there way to hike Baden Powell. A Van pulled out in front of them and totaled David's little Bronco. They were all pretty sore for the first week or two. Dave's shoulder strap wasn't working and he hit the dash so he is still have a problem with focusing one eye. I don't know who was leaning in the truck, she was a bystander.

On a lighter note...
As you see from the previous post I am going to have a granddaughter in April or whenever she feels she is ready. Here is a picture of Jill with her cute little belly!

I had surgery to remove my gallbladder two days before Thanksgiving. Everything went good and I am pretty much back to normal but way behind on Christmas preperations. I still don't even have my cards they are somewhere in my decorations which I still don't have done either.
Yesterday due to our wonderful Southern California snow storm (and work being cancelled) I did get my wrapping done. To bad my shopping isn't done. I have got to put a fire under it now and get done. The christmas cards when I do find them sadly will not have pictures this year yet another thing we haven't found time for. (sigh)
Speaking of snow...
We had about 15 inches at our house how fun. The dog's didn't seem to mind it but the cat is not impressed. The picture of the tape measure was mid afternoon. The 15 inches was later that evening didn't get a picture.
Have a great holiday.
