WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG THEY STEP ON YOUR TOES AND WHEN THEY ARE OLDER THEY STEP ON YOUR HEART

I just read a bulletin on myspace from one of my children and I must say I am disappointed.
I pray that she will give herself fully to the one that can ease the pain in her heart. I am at a loss as how to help her except through prayer.

I've been there too. Or should I say, 'we', my wife Liz as well. We have five children and one in particular wandered far from the Lord at times. But we keep praying.
I just paused to say a prayer that the heartache you described will be displaced by joy that your child
comes to the Lord. I mean it. We may never meet in this world, but parents have that in common. As you say, they can step on your heart. If you want to read another Christian's blog, mine is http://threeswans.blogspot.com
Blessings.

I know the feeling Both my girls are away from the LORD although the older one is loving and practical and manages 3 children including twins and does a job at a home for autistics.. She lives with her partner Rich they are together 9 yrs... Their mortgage is £900 /$1800 a month....
The younger has just got into more debt we had to make a loan thru the bank for her for $8,000 which hopefully she will pay back monthly
She is only int in Buffy and Angel
although she is very loving with most folks ...she was badly bullied @ school because we were Christians
she did give her heart to the Lord but then says she was confused...
I have suffered from depression most of my Life... I worked full time with my older girl as a single parent then met my husband when she was five we are married 25 yrs .. but my younger daughter has sen all my depression they BOTH remember All the rejection from church and Christians...
My health is bad as my inmmune system is shot... I am hoping to go into sheltered housing...
As we have a four story house and I can't manage the stairs..
But now we have problems with the council over a rebate we are legally entitled too...
PLEASE PRAY FOR US ALL.....
Gods blessings...
Their are pics on my oldest blog of our family.....

Thank you for your reply, Deborah. Yes, my book is available at Amazon or stores like Barnes and Noble or Christian book stores. It's a joy to receive your enquiry and I hope you enjoy your book. I will keep praying as I do that your children will be drawn back to the Lord. In our church, as possibly in yours, we hold the view that all Christian adults are in a sense God-parents to other Christians' children, not in the manner of being a busy body but in regard to seeing them as part of the Christian family like our own, and all precious, and all to be prayed for. Blessings.
